Snowfall @ Daqing; Scene from Tokyo

Saw my first heavy snowfall in the morning. Was quite a fantastic looking sight...

Of course, i was again underdressed for the cold. Oops. No thermals, no ear muffs. Super freezing...
And from an earlier visit to Tokyo, I had tried to hold a fresh perspective on the surroundings, and found that the city did look very vibrant and interesting, despite not having gone on a leisure walkabout... yet.

a new view in Tokyo

This should be the sixth time that I am in Tokyo, and may be the first time when I looked at the streets during a car ride, and enjoyed the city view. At this hotel (changed from the previous one near Tokyo Station), the view was also better... or is it because I am in the hotel before dark?

This is a work trip nonetheless, and despite my preference to update this blog than to do work, ... work doesn't get done by itself. Sigh... Shall have to plan a personal holiday to Japan in future, and really enjoy the sites, tastes and sounds.

tokyo, 3.8°C, big sushi and snow ice

Came to Tokyo again, for the fifth time over the past 1 year. Since the previous trips were all with unresolved issues and problematic meetings, I had never quite enjoyed Japan... this time, armed with new and positive experiences in Singapore, plus a new camera (that I stole from my sis), this has got to be a better trip than before!!!

Zoom into the photo above to see the temperature reading...

My dinner just moments ago...

a very busy time

gosh.., it has been almost a month since my last post. work has just been crazy, and i am so drained that i just wanna phase out every chance i have.

(random photos on the way back from Ginza to the hotel)
had been to taiwan and japan since the last post, and while still in the midst of all the incomplete work, there is another trip to thailand... it is supposed to be fun work, but that is little comfort when there are still loads waiting to be done.

another night in Tokyo

Japan. Sounds fun?
busy day it had been. it is already past midnight here, and i'm still working on tomorrow's presentation. not even complete with some of the work for monday. and there's still lots to rush.

It sure was cold, for a tropical boy. It took all my clothes + blazer + winter jac to keep me warm. Probably bad due to the winds in the open, but imagine what I will be experiencing during the later part of this week... China with many sub-zero days.
While I had been confined to the hotel, offices, and travelling between these places, I must admit that there are some pretty good-looking people here in Tokyo. But I probably haven't seen it all, and may not be in the mood anyhow. Let's hope my work load lightens a little for the next few days... (as if that is even possible)
